Rapid Assessment of Existing Training Materials on Gender-Transformative Digital Skills Education in Colleges of Education (Client: UNESCO Ghana)
The objective of this consultancy is to conduct a rapid assessment of the current landscape and trends in gender transformative digital skills education in Ghana as part of the project’s inception phase. The consultant will:
- Identify key stakeholders and conduct consultations to gather insights and perspectives.
- Review existing data and evidence on gender-transformative digital skills education.
- Assess and analyze existing teacher training materials on gender-transformative digital skills education.
- Examine significant initiatives, responses, and lessons learned.
- Identify capacity development needs to strengthen gender-responsive digital skills education.
This assessment will provide a comprehensive understanding of the current context, inform the project’s implementation strategy and ensure targeted, effective interventions.

The Gender Assessment will focus on identifying and addressing the specific needs and barriers faced by various gender and social groups within the project areas of Avu Lagoon Community Protected Area (ALCPA) and Wechiau Community Hippo Sanctuary (WCHS). The Gender Assessment will:
- Identify Gender and Social Inequalities: Analyze the current status of gender and social inequalities in the project areas, focusing on access to resources, participation in decision-making, and benefits from project interventions.
- Understand Intersectional Impacts: Examine how intersecting identities (gender, age, disability, ethnicity, etc.) affect individuals’ access to project benefits and their ability to participate in and influence project outcomes.
- Develop Inclusive Strategies: Propose strategies to integrate gender and social inclusion into project planning and implementation, ensuring that all community members can participate in and benefit from the project.
The Development of a National Parenting Support Strategy and Training Manual to Strengthen Family Wellbeing in Ghana (Client: UNICEF Ghana)
The objective of the assignment is to develop, pilot and finalise an evidence-based parenting strategy and resources for parents and caregivers to prevent and respond to Violence Against Women and Children, as well as promoting positive child development and holistic family wellbeing, with linkages across health, nutrition, protection, and social sectors (to the extent feasible). The assignment aims particularly to:
- Institutionalise Parenting Programmes: Integrate parenting programmes into national and local systems to ensure long-term support and build on existing initiatives to create a coherent strategy across multiple sectors.
- Design Inclusive Programmes: Offer both universal and targeted programmes tailored to meet the needs of diverse populations and vulnerable groups, such as older caregivers, parents of children with disabilities, young or adolescent parents, and other groups requiring targeted, inclusive support.
- Promote Safe Family Practices: Implement strategies within parenting programmes that advance gender equality and equip parents and caregivers with strategies to effectively prevent and respond to violence against children and women.
- Enhance Wellbeing of Children, Adolescents, and Women: Focus on reducing violence against these groups and increasing their overall safety, support and wellbeing through the parenting programme.
- Support Holistic Care Across the Life Cycle: Equip parents and caregivers with the knowledge and tools to provide safe, healthy, and developmentally supportive environments for children at different stages of life. Parenting programmes should, to the extent feasible, promote key practices related to health, nutrition, WASH, and early learning through existing delivery platforms—such as community health services, schools, and early childhood centres—ensuring age-appropriate support from infancy through adolescence.
Leadership Development Capacity Building Workshop for Ghana National Taylors & Dressmakers Association (Client: Springboard Roadshow Foundation)
The goal of this training is to build the institutional capacity of GNTDA to adopt best practices and scale up to the next level. The training aims to strengthen the Ghana National Tailors and Dressmakers Association's (GNTDA) organizational capabilities by introducing and implementing industry best practices. The ultimate objective is to help the association grow and advance to a higher level of operation, enabling them to better serve their members and contribute more effectively to Ghana's fashion and textile industry. This includes improving their management systems, operational efficiency, and service delivery to create a more robust and sustainable organization.
View Current ProjectsDevelopment of Gender Equality Strategy for the Championing Nutrition and Gender Equality (CHANGE) Project (Client: Children Believe)
The overall goal of the GES is to address the root causes of gender inequalities that contribute to depriving the poorest and most marginalized populations, particularly women, especially pregnant women and lactating mothers, and their children from accessing nutrition. The Gender Equality Strategy (GES) has five broad objectives:
- Provides the current gender context within which the CHANGE project is being implemented in the two countries.
- Provides an analysis of the effect of the gender context on project activities and results.
- Provides recommendations to overcome gender barriers and increase gender equality in the project.
- Makes recommendations for gender transformative and inclusive monitoring and evaluation of the CHANGE project and its impact on marginalized populations, particularly women, especially pregnant women and lactating mothers, and their children.
- Provides gender transformative approaches and recommend activities to promote gender equality in the project.
Midterm Evaluation of DGD Funded Programme Implemented by Rikolto Ghana (Client: Rikolto International)
The main objective is to evaluate the programme's effectiveness in achieving specific targets outlined in its project plan within the designated timeframe. The assignment aims to comprehensively assess the progress made towards programme targets, ascertain the programme's sustainability, address key program learning questions, and provide valuable insights for future improvements. The specific objectives are:
- To critically review and analyse the programme's progress towards achieving midterm targets.
- To collect qualitative data from stakeholders to assess program sustainability and address specific learning questions.
- To compile findings into a comprehensive country-level evaluation report.
